Social inequality and social diversity are a major part of a police officers work. These two things will be present in every community and therefore a police officer should know how to effectively deal with this.
Inequality and social diversity could impact an officer as they patrol the streets and see a range of people from lower class to higher class. Police officers must ensure they treat both classes equally and apply the same laws to every person, whether they are of lower or upper class.
Different areas may impact police more then others. A area such as Bankstown will usually have more people of lower class then of somewhere like Bondi. This could possibly change what type of jobs they will attend and how many officers they need on patrol.
Both of these things have many impact on a police officer and the officer must know how to deal with them as they will always be a part of society.
