The role of a government is to care for their citizens, put their country first and make a fair and just system for their country. The government has power but that power must be authorized via the citizens. Afghanistan is in a current state of chaos, citizens being murdered if they don't share the same opinions as the government, women being forced to stay inside and citizens given a lack of rights. It is forcing religous ideologies onto its citizens which is a blatant misuse of civil rights. However, India is also not a perfect nation. There are massive levels of corruption throughout the nation and Hindu ideologies are subtly being enforced such as when Modi published a law that was blatantly discriminatory against Muslims. This goes to show that power is not about money or stength but its about how easily it is to command your audience.

religous

1. Power is something someone may aquire or gain and use it for their own individual benefit or use it with sense and mindfulness. For example, the Taliban is not trying to work with the Afghan citizens, they are trying to dominate the country and make every person live in absolute fear, they are stripping the citizens of their rights and telling them how to live. Qualities of a bad leader include- Not being able to sort out problems, not understanding the situation of people, using violence as a solution to most/if not all problems, making their people live in fear and disregarding the rights of people. Qualities of a good leader include- Having good communication skills, as they are able to communicate with the people, caring is another quality that would help them understand the people of their country, respect for everyone, good thinking skills as this may help to resolve conflict and open mindedness.

2. Revolutions usually occur when people decide there is a need for change. In some cases people want to overthrow their goverment because they are not happy with the way the country is functioning, this could be for various reasons such as- no freedom/rights, no equality, one supreme leader or a group of leaders that people don't want in power anymore.

The Taliban utilizes fear through violence to ensure that the citizens comply. Through the use of brute force, the Taliban is able to have such a firm grip on what goes on in Afghanistan and with it's people. The chaos that plagues Afghanistan is their own doing, and they will take over the country, with our without the co-operation of the public. The public have to follows the rules created by the Taliban, or pay for it with their lives. An unjust social hierarchy is apparent, where women are treated as a level below men. All men are required to grow beards, against their will, as it is used as a form of identification.

Q1 and Q2:

When we look at the political issues today, we are able to define that power is a synonymous definition of control. Whether it be through military equipment or fear, power has played a major role in negatively affecting the people and the overall country. As many of us have heard, the Taliban have gained control over the Afghan government in Kabul. Afghanistan have had a rough history with the Taliban especially through the period between 1996-2001. Women were forced to quit their jobs and stay at home like slaves. Even so, the Taliban even banned basic activities like Dancing, listening to music or even getting hair-styles. Afghanistan during that time was just a horde of zombies who were controlled by militants.

Because of this agony and the centralization of dictatorships, people are forced to act. People have to fight for justice and their right which would eventually result in a revolution. Throughout historical events, revolutions have played a major role in expressing terminologies like justice, rights or decentralization of power. For example, the French revolution where Louie 14th was taken down, because of despicable acts/poor representation of peasants/working class.

Due to which, leaders need to change. Good characteristics of leader include, communication, interest for the people country(empathy), liberty or equal rights(race and gender) and most importantly, a sense of ethicality.

Hence, we are able to conclude that revolutions are especially important to enable freedom, rights and elimination of control or absolutism.

power is a tool to control people. it can be used to obey someone. now this power can be used in different ways. it can be used democratically, or oppressively. the latter is exactly what is happening in Afghanistan they are being forced to follow the ideology of the Taliban and the afghans are have lost most of their rights. what i believe makes a good leader is a person who puts his citizen in front of anything. he should be reliable, transparent, responsible and should be effective, and efficient.

revolutions occur when two different ideologies clash. for example the french revolution, it was a revolution that had a mission to completely change the relationship between the rulers and those they governed and to redefine the nature of political power. the church and nobles believed in monarchy while the citizens believed in a constitutional monarchy, thus came the french revolution. there are no common circumstances but if the citizens are not happy with the way they are governed and find it a bad government, they will want to overthrow it.
