On page 10, "Ma is a receptionist at Holiday Inn." This easily shows that the family might not be the richest because a receptionist job from my background is not the most high paying job. Also on page 10 is states that Jeromes dad is a sanitation driver. I wonder how Jerome was able to afford some sort of gaming console because in the book it says that he has "Minecraft" which is a video game. To start off, one of the paragraphs says, "Green Street isn't peaceful; it isn't green either. That proves that the area Jerome lives in is not very secure. Secondly in the article is says, "two blocks from school, drug dealers slip powder or pill packets customers, stuffing cash in there pocket. That further proves that the place Jerome lives in is not safe at all because if that was SPF that would be reported immediatly and they would be at jail. Lastly in Jerome school the Bullies are like vicious beasts and actually go out of there way to injure Jerome. In Ghost Boys it states that Jerome’s school was mostly Hispanic and African Americans, which most of them were bullies when Sara, the Caucasian girl, goes to a mostly white school where it’s all rainbows and sunshine there. I am not very sure if schools are like this in real life, but if would the kids who go to the mostly foreign school be more brutal? I also notice that some people in Sara’s school was saying her dad do the right thing, which was to shoot an innocent kid without warning. Prior to this book I read Ghost Boys and it was a book about a kid able to see the world as a ghost. I wonder if Welles was a "ghost" would he miss anything or regret anything. If I had to guess, based on Welles personality , I don't think he would regret a single thing he did and would be proud of himself and the decision he made. I think he would be proud of himself for making the Red Bandana a symbol of kindness and peace. I notice that many of the kids in this story got jobs that they appreciated but before they actually go on stage the people should tell the twelves what there job is so if they disapprove of it then can change it.
