I have never lived with mountains in my backyard, instead i am from a state that has empty space. My views included corn fields, the occasional Pine Tree, and the most beautiful sunsets there will ever be. Mountain lions and Coyotes are the two lest threatened and wide spread predators in Colorado. Building settlement in Golden caused packs of coyotes to band together and hunt more efficiently. However Nature is not a defining aspect of Humanity at this point. I believe the next generations personalities and human qualities will be derived from technology as i have not seen a 6th grader without a phone or an ipad which disappointing me.
