1. How does the meaning of a text change as you reread it? The texts starts to be more vunerable over time but does get sad but more of a point of that was never really shown before.

 2. How do your values alter your perceptions of the text? Seeing everyone's point of views and understanding of different belifs or opinions.

How might readers in different time periods or of different ages interpret the text? Some may be confused on why it happened or why they said certain stuff quickly or not fast enough.

Does the text hold the same opinion or perspective of the world as you have? What is there you consider wrong and why? (Use examples, quotes to raise an argument or to discuss your opinion). When Roger was killed in an accident it has happened so much over the years nowadays, and the affects it had on his family, friends, and peers was sad and devasting.

Which of your personal experiences or memories is affecting your perceptions of the story? James is mom doing her best with or without the help of other men being around romantically, she has pushed herself so hard to get bills payed and food on the table but still never had time for herself or anytime to feel good about herself and others fully.

What was the work’s original intended audience? To what extent are you similar or different from that audience. I'm somewhat similiar but not fully, knowing the knowledge of others feelings and traumatic experiences being uncomfortable about certain things and topics staying to yourself.

This determines the characters life because they didn't have much growing up and had a hard time doing anything fun they wanted nor needed. Through the story James and his family before he was born moved around a lot and didn't fully have a stable home or anything of that sort but progressively got worse after "ma" started having more and more children and not a whole lot of help.

Which are unconscious?

What conscious or unconscious conflicts between the characters exist? The characters can be there physically and mentally in certain parts of the memoir but there were times where they in a way "black" out ad don't remember what they may have done or could have possible done.

Given their backgrounds, how plausible is the characters’ behavior? From everyone's different perspective of life and how certain things happened traumatically or not yes and no, there behavior is plausible.

What roles do psychological disorders and dreams play in this story? The disorders can affect many of the people certain the mental state or emotional and not being able to function in-certain areas.

How might a psychological approach account for different responses in female and male readers? For male's and female readers, they may take certain situations more to heart than the other, or may not understand it fully nor care as much as before.

How does the work reflect the writer’s personal psychology? It reflects different perspectives and thoughts of emotions to there life or what they may have experienced.

What do the characters’ emotions and behaviors reveal about their psychological states? The characters mental/emotional states are all over the place but the most seen was confused, unaware, and self-destruction somewhat. Slowly but surely everyone including Ma opened up about her past and why she is the way she is and why she doesn't depended on others. Ma is one example of she had a rough childhood/adult hood being lied or and betrayed. She always found her savor, our Lord and made the most out of it and still was happy everyday.

How does the reader’s own psychology affect their response to the work? Depending on what has or hasn't happened there life it depends on how you may react or take texts from the story.

Now that we have finished the novel, what is your takeaway from the book? My take away from this memoir, is there are many different ways people live life on a daily basis and people go through different things on the daily. I also learned it is to be comfortable with your belifs and to share them! The many different understandings of life and how everyone's life/emotions are different and can be disturbing for others and not knowing what to do is very alarming for me, because there can be times where I may not know what to do/feel about certain actions/topics and maybe concerning.
