They kept their bodies quite low and quiet. They also were frequently cackling. This probably would make the audience creeped out. The lights were very dark so it added to the atmosphere. The setting was very dark and blended together with the actors, this creates a not welcoming atmosphere. The atmosphere was very dark and creepy. The audience would probably feel a chill run down their backs. The witches were acting creepily, and setting, props, and costumes also added to the dark atmosphere. The witches used slow body movement, and similar to Greek Theatre, they speak in unison. They speak slowly and with "ghostly" voices, just as if they were real witches.

SPECIALFX & SOUNDS
This added more scariness and more nightmare-ish atmosphere. The lightning and strobe effects make the scene more gloomy.

They also used big and dramatic movements which made it clearer what they were doing. It made the play more realistic. They also wore cloaks which often symbolize witches which helped the audience to identify the character's identity better.
