Honestly one of the toughest projects ive done so far! Dudley Randall apeals to the audience pathologically in one of the most notorious responses to the Civil rights movement in his "Ballad of Birmingham." I felt it was appropriate to use a black and white filter because the poem was written in 1963, the same year that Martin Luther's "I Have A Dream" speech was orally presented and was recorded in black and white standard. The theme relates to the category of freedom because Dudley advocated Alabama's efforts towards removing segregation and granting Civil liberties to people of color.
