The climate is dry and arid. Garlic is a plant that prefers to be in full sun. Garlic isn't hard to grow. In fact, growing garlic plants is almost ridiculously easy. It has a few important requirements that are easily met: decent soil, adequate moisture, and, of course, planting and harvesting at the right time. Garlic takes 7 to 8 months to grow and harvest.

Garlic is adapting well to climate change.

China is the largest producer of Garlic. In 2020, U.S. farmers produced a whopping 7.5 billion pounds of them, according to the Vegetables 2020 Summary.

The ideal temperature for growing potatoes is 60° to 70°F (16-21°C); temperatures greater than 80°F (26°C) are usually too warm for potatoes. Grow a variety that can come to harvest in cool to mild, not hot, weather. “Early” season (early maturing) varieties require 75 to 90 cool days to reach harvest.

Potatoes will be effected by climate change because they have difficulty growing in extreme temperatures. The starches will turn to sugar in higher temperatures making it burn quicker and turn darker when you cook them which will not appeal to customers.

Climate of Peru
The Coast experiences a semi-arid, subtropical desert climate with average annual rainfall of 150 mm.
