This building is a hospital in Tacoma, I used to live in Washington state and I've seen this buiding before in person. I can say that pictures don't do it justice, it is best seen from below where it absolutely towers over you. It is rare to see brutalist buildings that aren't square. It has such wonderful curved exteriors.

Fountain was created for an exhibition by Society of the Independent Artists. The exhibition was supposed to display any submitted artwork if an entrance fee was paid. Marcell Duchamp wanted to test the limits of this and submitted a urinal on its side initialed RMutt. The artwork was not accepted into the exhibit and Marcell Duchamp was furious. The artwork in its original state no longer exists, but 16 replicas were created in the 1960s.

Georges Braque isn't as well remembered as Picasso, but his artwork was amazing and movement defining. The way he fragments and divides the picture plane is unlike anyone else, his brushstrokes are awe inspiring now as they were in the 20th century.

This artwork is so popular, I see it on bags, shirts, computer backgrounds, and I have seen so many parodies everywhere. My favorite is Wormy Night, which was made for an art competition called Artfight in 2019.The drawing is made completely of worms from the magic trick product worm on a string. I love seeing parodies in this artwork, it is always a joy to see.

Impressionists were obsessed with color theory and putting complimentary colors together. Look at how many people are wearing red clothes, red and green compliment each other and so Georges Seurat decided do put lots of red and green in this piece.

I love the classical architecture in this piece, and I also love how there is something going on on each third of the canvas. Each part is staged beautifully with lots of action on the left two thirds of the image.

I have to say I love how this image is rendered, its one of the few baroque images that doesn't glamourize wealth, and I love it for that, it just honestly and sincerely depicts the working class in the signature baroque style.

I've seen this image many times before and it is very surreal for not being anywhere near the surrealist movement. I love how color coordinated the fruits and vegetables are. They get pinker on his face, and more white towards the man's chest.

This is also a really popular artwork, I've seen more parodies of this work than I have any other artwork. My favorite version is probably one drawn by the youtubers called Drawfee of Kylo Ren. I love how each artist can depict this classic in their own style and mostly everyone can tell what it is referencing.

I love how distressed the USA is in this map, it makes me think of how messy it was when we took away native land and assigned tribes to small reservations in court rooms that largely didn't speak their native languages. The USA has been messy to Native Americans and I feel like this image depicts that.

A Kachina is a spirit in Pueblo beliefs, They are present in most tribes around the New Mexico area. They are supernatural beings that are all female, often they are depicted as dancers and in the form of dolls, seeing them painted in this way is very modern, as they are often depicted in figures.

I love the plants in Rococo art. The plants were the featheriest and most cloud like in French Rococo art, but here in English Rococo art they still are feathery and dream like. I love the pastels on Mrs. Richard Brinsley's dress. The whole image feels like its dissolving, and yet it is so beautifully composed.

The romantic movement largely focused on escapism, the fire is so bright and lively I almost want to live in it. The British parliament building was destroyed in 1834, and this painting captures the event so well, and still manages to stage it as if it was a fairytale, it doesn't look like a dangerous fire, but a welcoming one.
