The tragedy of the commons is defined as everyone trying to make a little more profit for themselves out of the commons, creating a negative impact on the sustainability of the commons. This may be beneficial in the short term, but in the long term it can only lead to pollution and disaster. But now humans and nature have formed a social contract and have proved that they are capable of doing something extraordinary for the natural environment.

The tragedy of the commons is defined as the negative impact on the sustainable development of the commons when everyone wants to make a little more profit for themselves. This approach may be beneficial in the short term, but for long-term development it will only lead to environmental pollution and natural disasters. To compensate, however, mankind and nature have formed a sort of social contract, thus proving that mankind is capable of doing something for the living environment that contributes to sustainable development.

Under the premise of limited natural resources, the rational use of human beings will not have a bad impact on nature. However, if someone obtains more resources than the reasonable amount, the resources will become less and less, which in turn will affect human beings themselves. But humans have their own way of dealing with this situation, and they come to agreements with each other that allow us to use our resources more wisely.

I think that when one party uses a common resource, it reduces the use of that resource by others. Overuse will lead to the exhaustion of public resources, and eventually no one can use them again, leading to the tragedy of the Commons. This is a situation that can only be solved by a government or an organization. This unquenchable desire to allocate public resources would hasten the tragedy of the Commons if the government joined in.

Tragedy of commons means that if everyone wants to obtain short-term personal interest and exploit the natural resouces to the maximum, the sustainable development and long-term common interest will be harmed, which will eventually bring bad results to all of us. To deal with that, we humans can make agreements to avoid our impulse and make sustainable development.

If people only consider their own interests and constantly ask for them from the public society, it will eventually lead to a series of consequences such as hunger, pollution, and disasters for all residents of society. Therefore, people need to consider for future generations, start eating more vegetables and less meat, reduce resource consumption and use more environmentally friendly products.

When limited resources are shared by all individuals, optimizing for the self in the short term isn't optimal for anyone in the long term. This situation similar to the prisoner's dilemma named “Tragedy of the Commons”.

To solve it on country level need an agreement to keep order in using resource which should be guarded by stable laws and government, and to solve it on higher levels need regional or global cooperation.

Natural resources are finite and their reasonable use is acceptable, but overuse of public resources can be detrimental to the natural world and to future generations. Natural disasters and resource scarcity can greatly affect the lives of future generations. Therefore, the use of resources should be controlled and planned. It is feasible to establish governance mechanisms to rationalise the use of resources and reduce waste.
