There's just so much that needs to be covered, So it's best that it remains short and sweet for the descriptions of each site.

Boston Common: Quite literally America's oldest public park where people could relax or deliver speeches in even the gloomiest of days
Massachusetts state house: Simple enough, Massachusetts's Government state house, where they hold Massachusetts's congress members.
Park Street Church: Was at one point the first thing travelers saw when arriving. It serves as a big reminder as to how crucial religion is to some.
Granary Burying Ground: Some of Boston's most Important or at least notable people, Including signers of the Declaration of independence, a victim of the Boston Massacre, and even someone who died fighting the first duel in Boston.
King's Chapel Burying Ground: It's another one of the oldest Cemeteries in Boston. 
Boston Latin School: Home to Benjamin Franklin's statue, as well as it being America's oldest public school.
Old Corner Bookstore: Odd, However it was a place that sold some of the most American Revolution Associated pieces of literature that we know even today, Like The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere. 
Old South Meeting house: The Start of it all, (kind of) The meeting place of those who acted on the Boston Tea Party, as well as hosting public debates that included things such as taxes or how things were generally governed.
Old State House: One of the oldest Buildings of Boston that survived every moment of Chaos in Boston. It was once a center for business, civic, and political matter.
The Boston Massacre site: In the moment where tensions were high and the British Guards were experiencing the usual public hate, the guards opened fired upon the crowd.
Faneuil hall: It hosted the first American Town Meeting, often spoken about with pride with names such as "The Home of Free Speech" and "The Cradle of Liberty." 
Paul Revere's House: The Residence of one of the most famous Patriots of the revolution. Is Also the only official home of The Freedom Trail. 
Old North Church: Boston's Oldest Church, recognized most popularly by The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere.
Coppi's Hill Burying Ground: The Cemetery of those of Merchant, artistic, and Craftsmanship professions. 
USS Constitution: Also Known as "Old Iron sides", it is the oldest warship that was Commissioned and is still sail worthy.

Walking: Not optimal to Virtually impossible, due to the bay's nearby.

Driving is about as efficient as driving towards anywhere else, or actually may be a tad bit worse due to having some of the worst traffic America due to the city's road layout not aligning with each other at all. One of the most popular is that of the Freedom Trail. Which will be detailed in it's own post it. However this shall be focusing on the more modern attractions. These of course are only a couple things, there is so much more ready to explored by you that could simply not be compacted into here.

Boston Harbor Islands: Taking a boat out to one of the many islands in Boston's possession, while not only you get to enjoy the boat ride, you also can travel to some of the islands which have plenty of interesting aspects. Such as the lighthouse, the beaches, even just the feeling of a more green rural area can be attractive enough. All with their own names as can be seen on the right.

The Faneuil Hall Marketplace,  Although the hall itself is from the Freedom trail, this is quite different. It is, of course, a Marketplace, however it also hosts a variety of events Such as the childrens Cooking Classes or even a scavenger hunt of red socks! It's truly a wonderful place to pick up some goods, as well as a place to enjoy Boston's culture as a whole

Boston is also home to a world of chocolates oddly enough. But they did also have so much molasses that it created wave one top of land at one point, so it's safe to say that They enjoy their sweets. That would still leave us with several options that could be essentially chosen by random. So instead, here are a couple of categorized restaurants.

Family Friendly: The Friendly Toast, the colorful walls as well as the common "Put so many things on the wall that there's more posters than Visible wall" makes for an excellent quick meal environment for Vacations where you're on the move to view as many sites as you can cram in a couple of days.

Solo Quick Bite: Mike and Patty's, They offer a wide variety of sandwiches and burgers. There's a bit of a lack of internal design, however that's mostly because it's designed to be quickly called ahead, then be picked up and eaten on the go or outside. Once again, perfect for when you're quickly cramming food and looking to look at every tourist attraction in the city. 

Long sit down Meal: Red Lantern Restaurant & Lounge, a late night Asian restaurant that usually requires a call ahead for a reservation. It fits within the price range and expects people to hang around for long periods of time. It doesn't even open until 4 PM, so don't expect to waltz in during noon.
