The lesson that I got from the talk are:

-Do not lose hope, we never know what tomorrow will bring. There are a lot of challenge in business that the entrepreneur will face but in whatever situation is do not give up and keep fighting to achieve the goals in a business.

-The entrepreneur also need to learn something new which is learn how to develop their own character to communicate with the customers. This will help to know the attitude of the customers. 

-All leader must become a good leader. The good leader must know how to manage the attitude, knowledge, time, commitment and the strategy.

-The entrepreneur should be someone that can settle other people problem which is the main focus is give the benefit to their customers.

-The entrepreneur should use their own capability to settle every single problem that occurs in the business operation. 

-The entrepreneur should be a good one no matter which category they are in. 

-The entrepreneur must think positively, be a creative person and look forward in any situations to expand their business.
 

-The employee of business organization must work together and know their job scope to ease the operation in business.
 

-The leader should focus in business to build a brilliant and responsible team that will ensure the business operation run smoothly. 

-As the entrepreneur, they should always practice to face all situation because practice make perfect.

The program gives the benefits to students which is they get the motivation and ways to become the good entrepreneur. This program also ease the students know the ways to handle the business efficiently.

- To become an entrepreneur must start from ourselves. If we give a lot of reasons it will not be able to change our own destiny. In addition, it must be positive in yourself so that the challenges that come have come to life

Azri Alwan bin Nordin, also known as Azri Walter is the founder of Walter Empire. Walter Empire. Back in 2014, Azri was merely a government servant who started selling hair pomade in the streets to get some extra money. Now, at the age of 31, he has 30 Walter Barbershop all across West Malaysia and has built an institution for his barbers, Walter College in Shah Alam. Azri Walter has been appointed as Ikon SSM 2018 & 2019 and he is also the winner of the ‘Rising Star Award’ category by MaGIC.

 

3. Lessons learned

- Start your business with anything that you have.

Azri was known as the guy who successfully started and grown his business without any seed capital. He used to sell his friend’s product and made a deal to just get the profit of selling the product. He advised us to start selling other people’s product first; by being a drop shipper, an agent, etc. Do not rush to start creating and selling your own product. The risk is higher. 

- Experience is the best teacher.

Azri built his character from selling products in the streets. He used to be rejected, ignored and neglected by his customers. Those are the kind of experiences that taught him not to give up. He also gained a useful skill that have helped him up until now; to have the confident talking to strangers about his products. 

- The more you give, the more you get back.

Azri has always believed that if you help other people, you will gain more. During his early years of doing business, he always helps his friends to do business with him. By doing that, he actually gains more. If he’s selling his products alone, he can get up to RM 150 per day. However, if other people are helping him to sell, this means he can sell more and get more profit for selling the products.

- Success knows no excuses 

Azri has been rejected by his customers during his early years of doing business. However, he kept pushing forward no matter what challenges he went through.  

 
- Skill is what matters

High investment does not mean you’re getting a high return. It’s the skill that can help you get more, not your seed capital. For example, investing RM 10 million to start a business does not guarantee you a sale of up to RM 1 million per year. However, your skills can.

- Looking forward

An entrepreneur should be looking forward to expanding and growing their business. Azri started off with 1 branch of Walter barbershop in UKM. Now, he has 30 and is proceeding to join the F&B industry by opening Walter Brew & Coffee.

- Be creative

A great entrepreneur is always creative when it comes to eliminating or to be a step ahead of its competitors. Azri has brought new changes into the barber industry by training his barbers at Walter College and giving them job opportunities afterwards. 

- Build a team

Azri has his own team that does business together with him. He trained and worked together with them and they all managed to get a sale of RM1 million in the first year of Walter Empire.

- Do not listen to haters

Staying positive is crucial when doing business. Ignore what other people say. You are in control of your own business. You are the one to determine whether your business is going to be successful. 

- Definition of entrepreneur by Azri Walter

Azri Walter defines entrepreneur as someone who’s business can run without the owner being stuck to it. If everything in the business is being done by the owner, then he is not an entrepreneur. He is just self-employed. For example, Azri owns 30 Walter Barbershop across West Malaysia but he does not have to be physically near his franchises to make sure that his business runs as per usual. 

 

4. Conclusion

It takes hard work and determination to achieve success in the future. Giving up is not an option. A successful entrepreneur learns from experiences and keeps moving forward no matter what stands in their way.

- There are many challenges faced by the entrepreneur. To find the way out from the challenges, the entrepreneur said that do not give up in anything we do. 

- Be a good leader. To have a good team, a leader need to know how to organize the team based on their expertise. 

- Build an esteem value. As on owner, we need to ensure that the company keep expanding. The more brilliant people in the company, the more the company growth. 

- Find new knowledge such as technical knowledge. Managing cash flow skill is one of the example of technical knowledge that must be mastered and understood by anyone who wants to venture into business. 

- Build a good network with a lot of people. A good relationship with the people around will bring benefits to our business. 

- Sustainable. The entrepreneur need to sustain the business in the market to ensure that people will keep engage with the business. 

- Build a good team. Focus on building an intelligent and responsible team is a priority. This team will make the company keep growing. 

- Do it now. An entrepreneur must always have the determination to do what they want to do as soon as possible. The business intention cannot be delayed if they do not want to fail. 

- Everyone needs to have a responsibility. When working with colleagues, demonstrate commitment in the partnership.

A hard work will produce a great success. To build a business, do not give up is a must have attitude.

We must start the business at the early age to make our life become better. 4P (place, product, price and promotion) is the important things to start the business and must be considered by the entrepreneur.
