To what do you attribute the rise in teen depression?

I attribute school as the rise in teen depression. School can create stress and anxiousness. Having many tests, quizzes, and homework assignments can create an overwhelming environment. Additionally, having trouble completing these assignments will frustrate teens. School work will also prevent teens from going outside and hanging out with their friends. Instead of getting fresh air, they will have to stay inside and work on assignments for several hours. - Clementine Thayer

Are teenagers capable of romantic love?

To an extent, I would say they are. I think that sadly times have changed and not as many people want the true love kind of relationship we see on the big screen. Teens can also find their person and it changes their life. I know that I personally look for a genuine loving relationship and someday I hope it comes, but as of right now not many people want the same. I also hope we shift back into the romantic times, because finding your person in high school feels right; both of my sisters found their people in high school and are still dating today. I think it depends on the person, on the relationship, on the love. To define "romantic love" can have an answer that is, to each their own. -Tess Smith

Is revenge ever acceptable?

Revenge is sometimes acceptable but it is better to forgive and move on. In the show Avatar the Last Airbender, Aang states, "Revenge is like a two-headed rat viper. While you watch your enemy go down, you're being poisoned yourself. " Revenge can make a person feel superior or better about themselves because they feel that their enemy got what they deserved. However, the feeling of revenge does not last forever. It is easy to take revenge on someone, but it is hard to forgive. - Clementine Thayer

Honestly, I would. It would of course depend on how much I love that person but I think if it was a true enough love, I would have to follow my gut. Though I would hope that my family accepts and enjoys my choices, in the end, do they really love me if they cannot accept the love I feel for someone else? - Tess Smith

No, not entirely. Looking at someone from across the room and automatically thinking "They will be mine" won't always work out. You could have completely different personalities that don't work right, or underlying issues that will eventually need to be worked out. In a perfect world, in some people's lives, it has worked but has shown to only work for a short few. -Chloe K
