The Battle of Berlin was important because after Hitler died, he left an impact on the world as we see it today. It was also the last major battle in Europe during WWII. Germany surrendered from the war and that led to V-E Day which was the end of WWII. On V-E there was celebrating because it officially marked the end of WWII in Europe.
