         <description><![CDATA[<div>We have to consider the price and accessibility of the technology - equal access for all, including the vulnerable groups- and think about the relation between price and amount of patients that are going to be assisted.<br>Data security and privacy politics.<br>Safety measures and consider if it actually benefits the patients. <br>Consider monitoring/ surveillance /safety i.e. in own home – what impact does it have on the patient and on the rest of the family.          <description><![CDATA[<div>The healthcare professionals have to gain/ have updated knowledge about the technology in order to inform patients sufficiently. <br>Make sure that the technology that the patient is going to use will not cause him damage. (preserve autonomy and dignity).<br>How we store and acces data and what other professionals might have acces to the data. be aware that the patient also can acces data. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>1.</strong>     <strong>What is your responsibility with respect to ethics/ethical considerations in relation to be a nurse/PT - when we talk about welfare technology? </strong></div><div> </div><div>·      Consider the patient’s privacy, their right to say no</div><div>·      Consider side effects and inform the patient about those </div><div>·      Consider pros and cons </div><div>·      Be trustworthy and clear about what we know about the technology </div><div>·      Make sure the patient understand the purpose of treatment </div><div>·      Think about the integrity - E.g. eating robot - some might want to sit apart from the group because they don’t want them to see that they need help</div><div> </div><div><strong>2.</strong>     <strong>What kind of ethical challenges do we have before implementing a welfare technology?</strong></div><div> </div><div>·      How can we teach the patients to use the technology in the right way </div><div>·      Patients might be scared - we need to find out why they are scared, e.g. privacy, afraid they can’t figure out the technology </div><div>·      Respect the confidentiality </div><div> </div><div><strong>3.</strong>     <strong>What kind of ethical challenges do we have while using welfare technology? </strong></div><div> </div><div>·      Use it in the right way and with the right intentions (for patient’s best and not for our best) </div><div>·      Make it easier to collect data and observe the patient - but we should make sure we don’t do it for our own curiosity </div><div>·      Explain why we do what we do </div><div>·      Make sure the patient is treated like a human and not like a thing </div><div>·      Not forget the pedagogy </div><div>·      The patient should always be comfortable </div><div>·      Look out for contraindications </div>]]></description>
