Erik Erikson's theory of psychosocial development has a connection to group work in the form of initiative vs. guilt stages. Group work enables the children to try out, share, and experiment with new things in a good environment and thereby develop initiative.

Cognitive domain: Focuses on the brain and intellectual skills, such as critical thinking, recall and problem solving. The cognitive domain is significant since it aims to improve an individual’s mental talents as well as knowledge.

Jean Piaget's theory explains that children develop knowledge actively as they interact with their environment.

Jean Piaget's constructivist theory is most similar to the use of concrete materials in classes. Piaget believed that children learn well by actively exploring and interacting with their environment (Ansorge et al., 2024).

Reflection: Giving the students tangible things that are related to the lesson will have an impact on their wellbeing because they will learn what is taught more easily, comprehend it better, and become more enthusiastic, which will boost their confidence and reduce their anxiety.

Noam Chomsky's theory of language acquisition suggests that humans are born with an innate tendency to acquire language using a hypothetical "Language Acquisition Device" (LAD) (Stanborough, 2019). When teachers clearly state their lesson objective, they create an environment conducive to language development.

Piaget's stages of cognitive development include how children begin using language and symbols to interpret the world, which gave the basis for understanding that language is a component of the cognitive process in early child development.

Physical domain focuses entirely on body movement, a person learns and uses body control and general fitness through movement, whether fine motor-skill which are moving small muscles or gross motor skills which are moving large muscles, Arnold Gesell is one of the earliest and most prominent researchers to systematically study the development of motor skills in children. This domain is important because it affects our overall health and the ability to perform daily tasks.

Physical and Intellectual Development: Through the sensorimotor stage, Piaget posited that infants acquire knowledge and intellectually develop by virtue of their physical experiences in the world. Motor skills (e.g., gross motor skills, like crawling or walking, and fine motor skills, like grasping or manipulating objects) are required for the child to explore and understand the world (Ansorge et al., 2024).
