It promotes imperialism, tariffs and subsidies on traded goods to achieve that goal.<br>This helped regulate the economy at the time from the Americas being a boom in resources so restriction needed to be in placed to control it over just free range.<br><br>Tribalization: The incorporation of outside people to governed territories <br>This helped settle basic governments across the Americas and began the conflict with the natives<br><br>Land Bank:  a large body of land held by a public or private organization for future development or disposal.<br>With the use of land banks the colonization of parts in the Americas became easier over time with trade and building up the economy.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Terms:<br>Mexican American War: a conflict between the United States and Mexico, fought from April 1846 to February 1848.<br><br>This was the first victorious war the US encountered where they gained the land in Texas and California as well as territory out west that started up the conflict over slavery.<br><br>Confederates/Unionists: Confederates were southerners who advocated for state rights and slavery that clashed with the Union who were mainly for equal rights and the abolishment of slavery tying them against each other in the civil war.<br><br>Kansas Nebraska Acts: a territorial organic act that created the territories of Kansas and Nebraska.<br>This Act was very controversial and a starting point in tensions with the North and South as many wished for those territory's to choose their own laws while others wanted them emplaced from the government causing internal conflict.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Terms:<br><br>Civil War: a civil war in the United States from 1861 to 1865, fought between northern states loyal to the Union and southern states that had seceded to form the Confederate States of America.<br><br>This was the win of the Union  freeing slaves and seperating the south as state rights were changed and slaves were abolished.<br><br>Election of 1860: The 1860 United States presidential election was the 19th quadrennial presidential election. It was held on November 6, 1860. In a four-way contest, the Republican Party ticket of Abraham Lincoln and Hannibal Hamlin emerged triumphant. Lincoln's election served as the primary catalyst of the American Civil War.<br><br>This ended up being the Triger point of the civil war as right after South Carolina succeeded and the start of the Civil war was formal.<br><br>Jefferson Davis:  An American politician who served as the president of the Confederate States from 1861 to 1865.<br><br>Davis was known for being a trashy leader that tore apart the south but allowed for the Union win changing the out come of the war from his poor leadership.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Terns:<br><br>Women's Suffrage:  is the right of women to vote in elections. Beginning in the mid-19th century, aside from the work being done by women for broad-based economic and political equality and for social reforms, women sought to change voting laws to allow them to vote.<br><br>this became a very political social conflict as many women and men agreed for women to be treated as equals and women's suffrage continued on into the 1900's that eventually granted women equal rights.<br><br>The 13,14,15th amendments: Amendments made during the age of the Civil war to protect the rights of freed slaves from general rights to state restrictions against discrimination.<br><br>These protected the freed slaves and gave them very little but they still had a sense of independence though these didn't grant them equal rights causing conflict into the 1900's where they are eventual given equal rights.<br>Sitting bull:  a Hunkpapa Lakota leader who led his people during years of resistance against United States government policies.<br><br>Sitting bull was a leader that stood for the native people and a major person in the conflict that started at the colonization of America that fought against the US government for freedom and land giving more exposure to the problem of treatment of the natives to more of the population.</div>]]></description>
