Here are the materials you'll need today...
1. A small sheet of paper
2. A pencil, a thin (dark coloured) pen or marker!

We'll be creating a picture with no 'up' or 'down' that's incredibly 'abstract' (meaning that it's clearly not one single thing, such as an item like a car or plane)! A zentangle is a series of patterns you make to help you relax, all within a pre-made (before you start drawing) border. We're going to be repeating these patterns over and over, hoping to create a 'flow state' in which you get lost in your drawing. It's helpful to have music on while you're doing this! What you'll be making today (and tomorrow) and turning in on Edmodo in our Visual Arts section (either by a scanned drawing, a photo, or an electronic link, like Sketch Toy) is your own personal zentagle. All it needs to recognizable, repeated patterns inside a clear border, drawn in a dark colour that flows from pattern to pattern. I've attached some pattern examples below!

This announcement is to let you know that we will have a Google Meet this Friday, May 22nd at 10am. 

During the meet we will be taking up this week's work together. I can also answer any questions you may have from this week or any of the previous weeks. Last, but not least, we will all be able to reconnect again (virtually) in French. 


I am so looking forward to seeing all of your faces again!! Even if you haven't been able to do all of the work up to now, I still encourage you to join. 


The meet will be held in google classroom (because Brightspace is linked to Team meetings and I don't want to throw too many new things your way, so I will keep our online meetings consistent with what most teachers are doing).


If you are not yet part of the Grade 4 French google classroom that we had been using before March, this is the class code: toozdjh 


Finally I would like to go over some considerations/ rules:
- please have your microphones off, unless you are speaking (this cuts out on background noise) 
- listen to the speaker and give everyone a turn
- only speak when it is your turn to share/ contribute 
- be kind, we are all new with Google Meet
