We will put these assessments to use in child's assessment by first passing out successful learning traits and have them fill out the questions seen in the document in the beginning of the week. This seeks out the individual goals of the child within themselves and to give the teacher an indication of where the children can improve on. We will pass out the papers and see what successful learning as a whole of the child can be and where the child want's to have those skills.Throughout the week, we will utilize these skills in various activities and through the evaluating of the activities, we will determine if the goals of the individual child were successful or not. At the end of the week, We will pass out a similar worksheet but the questions will say: 

Did you try out your goals? What did you do? 

If you were not able to try out your goals, what will we try next time? 

Did we use our learning strength this week? 

These give a follow up to the self-reflection and provide opportunity to learn about what was successful and what we can do better in the next week. I first explored pinterest and found similar activity ideas but I modified them into an Olympic theme and made them more challenging for a third grader. I also explored fellow teachers who have blogs and websites that post some activities when they have Olympic topics as well. The activities chosen are something that I believe is developmentally appropriate because they create additional complex knowledge like forces of motion and gravity, that can be easily understood visually and expand their knowledge further. 

Ashley: When I was thinking of third grade activities ideas that related to the olympics I found many website that had many different ideas. Some that I used to come up with my activities were first the Fun-A-Day website were it had ideas of fun & meaningful learning activities of the Olympics. Also The Educators' Spin On It website were it provided ideas of learning games and activities of the olympics for third graders. This websites both helped me come up with ideas to basic off my activities off.
