The Japanese had planned on instigating a battle with America because they believed that they would win.The battle would take place in the middle of the Pacific Ocean on a base held by America. However Chester Nimitz implanted an outstanding defense that ended up in America ganging a victory. A devastating effect from this event to the Japanese was that Americans could now translate Japanese messages because they had broken their code.

The dropping of the bombs impacted the war by resulting in the true end of WW2 for America, but some people say that it was what caused the beginning of the Cold War. There was already a lot of tension between Japan and America as a result of the Attack on Pearl Harbor. Japan was refusing to surrender and the idea of sending troops into Japan would result in many American casualties, so Truman decided to use their new bomb to get the message across.

It called for all foreigners of Japanese decent to be confined in order to protect the country from further attacks. These Japanese Americans were put into concentration camps and had to endure harsh living conditions. This took place primary in west coast states like California, this is where majority of them lived, which resembled a military zone during this time. This order impacted the war effort by demonstrating Roosevelt's strong need to win the war and caused the rise of talk regarding the ethics with this.

Schenck was a general secretary of the U.S. Socialist Party, who distributed thousands of leaflets calling men who were drafted to resist military service which was a violation of the Espionage Act. The court hearing was an argument on whether the Espionage Act was unconstitutional, which is what Schenck’s counsel was arguing.
