I would first start with pre assessment and make sure all the students knew the definition and a few examples of Netiquette. Afterwards, the students, would go into another non participating class and interview 2-3 students each, asking them "what is netiquette" and "what are examples of netiquette" and "what ways could you better your own internet use and be a better user". My students would then learn about the importance of "copyrighting" when using their own words and interviewing other students. I would instruct them to make sure they "cite" who they interviewed and that their information was accurate to what that student said.  Afterwards, students would make either a video project or a power point including the correct "citations" and learn more about digital citizenship while making their own projects. While I know cyberbullying is not polite and typing in all caps is considered yelling, I did not know that all these aspects of polite internet use where under the large umbrella of Netiquette. I believe it's incredibly important to teach students how to be safe, and polite on the internet. I think it could have long lasting effects if students are aware of the impact they might have on others even though they are using technology. Personally, I love talking on the phone, facetiming and spending time with others in the most in person setting as possible. I am also aware that others prefer less personal settings and prefer other outlets of communication like texting or chat rooms. I think internet safety is a much bigger issue that it is currently made out to be. In a world where your self confidence is tied to how many "likes" all internet users should be aware of the impact they have on others. Throughout my K-12 career I remember certain websites being blocked and I never understood why, but now that I am educated on CIPA I finally have an explanation. CIPA is interesting because I remember many of my peers using websites that unblocked the websites the CIPA had schools blocked. Also with technology and social media growing and becoming so evident in our society I wonder if CIPA may someday just go away. If used correctly I believe social media could be a powerful tool in learning  and something my future students may benefit from, but with CIPA they may never have that chance in the classroom. My favorite part of this project was coming up with the lesson plans because it really helped me understand the criteria enough to be able to do research and find a good way to teach the material.
