End of Semester Online Webinar - we need ideas!

Feel free to add any thoughts or ideas for this webinar. We were thinking maybe an hour of lightning talks from speakers with topics that had appeal across the 4 nations. Examples talked about include:

Thoughts on the current job market
recent grad experiences in finding jobs/interviewing and being early in your career
What helped on the course, what prepared you for your first or second professional roles
Looking for work outside of your current course’s country

Jonathan - person lined up who is flexible with time.

Matthew - person lined up less flexible

Chaeli - person lined up also - date & time dependant.

Four, 10 minute slots, three speakers and then a final 10 mins from CILIPS staff on professional development ideas to support what the speakers have said.

Lunchtime slot - 12pm-1pm slot the best for attendance?

Live polls for feedback during the event to shape future events and themes. Slido.

Week beginning 16th Feb - double check with speakers first, but CILIPS staff will keep free. If Chaeli, Jonathan and Matthew can confirm with speakers and give Leah little blurb of each speaker once confirmed then we can get the event page up ASAP. (Kristina notes that week is UofG reading week so will work well with students).

CILIP Professional Registration Assessors

Hi all, I'm sharing some info on behalf of Jonathan and his involvement with the CILIP Member Council. Some of you may know that we have a programme of professional services which includes professional registration, revalidation, mentoring and more. New mentor training was launched in May and new professional registration volunteering opportunities have since been advertised. CILIP wanted to gather some more feedback around recruitment for these vacancies, so I've included the questions below. If you need any more info about what this involves or any questions then please let me know (leah.higgins@cilips.org.uk).

Questions for Member Council Clusters:

- What would stop you applying to be an assessor?

- Would your employer support you in volunteering to support professional

registration?

- What do employers need to know about professional registration to engage with it?
