This teaching unit is designed for students at level A1–A2 (11 to 13 years old) and seeks to strengthen both written comprehension and production in English. Through activities focused on the use of Wh-questions and the simple past tense, students will learn to ask and answer specific questions, which will facilitate the writing of short texts about personal experiences such as their last vacation. The unit begins with the recognition and practice of questions with what, where, when, who, why, and how in the simple present, promoting critical thinking and oral interaction. Subsequently, students apply this knowledge to write descriptions in the past tense using specific vocabulary and grammatical structures such as went, saw, was/were, visited, among others. Digital tools such as Wordwall are integrated to motivate students and facilitate comprehension through interactive activities. This approach encourages autonomy, the connection between ideas, and the meaningful use of language in real-life contexts.

The integration of artificial general intelligence (AGI) into English language learning highlights a significant shift in the role of the teacher. While AI can offer immediate feedback, detect errors, and provide personalized resources, the role of the teacher remains fundamental. Educators not only guide the ethical and effective use of these tools but also provide the human support necessary to motivate, contextualize, and adapt learning to students' individual realities. The teacher's role is transformed into that of a critical facilitator who fosters reflective thinking, encourages autonomy, and ensures that technology is used as a means and not an end.
