         <description><![CDATA[<div>Collaborating on putting together PD around Google Classroom; teams training; technology skills; How do you teach online and what it looks like<br><br>The trainings have been district-wide.  There are some systems that are moving to full platforms.<br><br>Waiting to provide training a week before school starts is pretty stressful for teachers.  Training should have happened in June.<br><br>Using Google Teams to replace Zoom.  Learning curve for Microsoft Teams is steeper.  Google Meet and Microsoft Teams will be merging in the fall.   A nice feature for Teams is that it saves everything for that meeting, whereas Zoom does not.<br><br>Districts are attempting to provide more inservice for staff at the beginning of the school year to prepare.<br><br>Learning management system will be Schoolagy.<br><br><br><br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>small grouping online (similar to what we are doing right now)<br><br><br>We discussed our plan for learning. Districts that have more focused plans have better allowed their teachers to plan. Districts that have 4 different plans in place have created an incredible amount of unknown variables so it is difficult to plan as teachers.<br><br>Creating "ideal learning" in this new environment means that student needs, parent needs, and teacher needs all need to be considered. Some choices need to be offered because having choice is important.  <br><br> <br><br></div>]]></description>

Gradeless school.  Really promotes relationships, flexible groupings, teachers assigned content standards <br><br>Discussed LMS... Canvas, Schoology, OTUS, and Empower. <br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>

Teaching one lesson to two different groups gives you time to reflect on what did and didn’t go well and how to improve for session 2. </li><li>How do you keep them apart? </li><li>Not sure how to pull it off; what we used to do is not what we are going to be able to do.</li><li>Live streaming lessons in class.</li><li>Confidentiality concerns about student privacy. </li><li>Finding resources that aren’t overwhelming or constricting. </li><li>State of Maine “Bright Space” Distance learning program.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Staying the Same<br>Feels that very little will be staying the same<br>School population is so small, which makes it pretty easy.  They will still have small groups, 5 periods a day.<br><br>What is changing?<br>The challenge will be how to integrate the online versus the in person learning.  They will be utilizing moving cameras.  <br>May not be able to have the typical RTI blocks where students are mixed based on skill and not grade level.  Students will be mixed into many different groups.  How do we maintain the small data based groups for RTI in this new world?  <br><br>Structure:<br>Instructional decisions may take a back seat to safety decisions.  </div>]]></description>
