The two expeditions "Lewis and Clark Expedition" and the expedition with Scott and his crew facing a competition with Amundsen's crew both had similarities and differences. For example, both expeditions were exploring land that they have never seen before because no one ever really saw the South Pole (Scott's Expidition) so they wanted to go there and explore it. For Lewis and Clark, they were both exploring the new land that is now America that back then they just bought. For a difference is that the Lewis and Clark expedition All survived except one, But for Scotts crew and him they did not get enough food and the whole crew died with Scott. As you can see they both had differences and similarities.

Lewis and Clark survive their journey and Robert Scott does not survive his journey in "Discovering Our World" It clearly states that Lewis and Clark do survive and Robert Scott does not survive. "The Corps of Discovery reaches St. Louis, but since nearly two and a half years had passed, most of the people there had given the men up for dead. They are greeted as heroes. Scott and the four men on his team died trying to hike the over 800 miles (about 1,287.48 kilometers) back to camp." This quote shows how Lewis and Clark survived there journey and Robert Scott did not survive his journey and also explains how they both did, and nearly died.

The journey that Lewis and Clark went on where very good and bad when it turned out. According to the text "Still, the team did find out helpful information about native plants and animals." This means that it ws good that they found new speshis of life because their are more animals to eat and some of the plants may be good for curing deseases. The text states "The team failed to reach its main goal—to find a river that led to the Pacific Ocean. This means that instead of sailing on a river to the pasific ocean which takes less energy then walking they have to walk which is bad. To sum it up Lewis and Clark's journey turned out to be good and bad.

The journey that Robert Scott whent on was bad. The author states " Amundsen's team reached the South Pole first." This is because Scott's team wasn't as trained as Amundsen's team. The text states "The wind was cruel. Scott and the four men on his team died trying to hike the over 800 miles (about 1,287.48 kilometers) back to camp. This means that Scott's journey was really bad because 1st of all Scott did not get to the south pole first and 2nd of all scott did not complet his journey and did not return home. To sum things up Robert Scott had a very bad journey compared to Lewis and Clark's journey.

Lewis and Clark and Robert Scott were explorers. One way their journeys were alike is they both went on very dangerous trips and did not now where it would lead them. On Robert Scott trip the article states "It is surrounded by icy water. It is covered in ice and fog." This shows that it is very dangerous in Antarctica. On Lewis and Clark trip the article states."Some thought that unicorns and huge beasts lived there" this show that they thought there was beasts so it can be dang ores to not know what is there. To sum thing up, one way their journeys were alike is they both went on very dangerous trips and did not now where it would lead them.

The trips were different because Robert Scott was unprepared for their trip, while Lewis and Clark were more prepared and also got help from the natives on the land. On Lewis and Clark the article says "There, they will hire Toussaint Charbonneau and his wife, Sacagawea be their guides." This shows that they hire native Americans to help them. On Robert Scott the article states "Scott and the four men on his team died before they could finish the 800 mile trip back."This shows that they all died on the trip back. To sum things up the trips were different because Robert Scott was unprepared for their trip, while Lewis and Clark were more prepared and also got help from the natives on the land.

Lewis, Clark, and Robert Scott went on many journeys. Can you believe that some of their journeys to different places were alike? Robert Scott tried to reach the South Pole. They took this journey because no one ever made it before. Lewis and Clark wanted to explore America west of the Mississippi River. The two teams were similar because they were exploring unexplored lands. From the text, “Westward Expansion: Discovering Our World”, both expeditions were not successful at first. According to the text, Lewis and Clark’s expedition was “not a complete success. The team did not meet its main goal-to find a river that led to the Pacific Ocean”. This quote exemplifies that the journey was not successful at first. Scott’s team also began to run out of food before reaching the South Pole and had to turn back. To sum things up, Lewis and Clark and Scott had similarities when they went on their daring and adventurous journeys.
Lewis and Clark and Scott also had differences in their journeys. Some of their journeys that they went on were in different sides of the world and led to different routes. Scott went to the South Pole. Lewis and Clark went west of the Mississippi. Scott did not get help on his journey. The text states, “the team did not bring enough food and knew little about the dog sleds they used”. Lewis and Clark got help from the Native Americans. The text states that “these natives knew the land”. These two quotes exemplify how the expeditions were different. To sum things up, these explorers had very daring and adventurous journeys that were both similar and different
