Motive and context</em></strong><em><br></em>What is the problem or challenge that you’d like to address?&nbsp;<br><br></div><div><br>Challenges: <br>- build synergies among different ecosystem fashion/textile and food <br>- tackle the Issue of food waste<br>- up-cycle waste or by-produtcts of food, juice production by promoting the production of a sustainable fabric from citrus fruits. <br>- use of food loss/food waste for bio based fibres/textile<br>save, reuse, cross value chains' ecosystem, redesign.<br>&nbsp;<br><strong><br><br></strong><br></div><div><br>What are strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats for your idea?<br><br></div><div><br>Strengths:&nbsp;<br>- circular and regenerative textile,&nbsp;<br>- the developed product can be printed, colored, and packaged, so brands don’t have to modify their suppliers and can be woven together with all other materials.<br>-help improve /create more sustainable food systems;<br>- limit ghg emissions by preventing food waste<br><br></div><div><br>Weaknesses: land use, transport of food waste to processing textile industry ( co2 impact) but if developed in the same region the leakage is reduced, water use in the process.<br><br></div><div><br>Opportunities: CO2 sequestration from the agri food system, orange trees,&nbsp;<br><br></div><div><br>Threats: competitiveness of the textile in an international market,&nbsp;<br><br></div><div><strong><em><br>Building block 2.
