One of my teaching role models, Mary Ehrenworth, talked about how this pandemic will be in our students history books one day. And one day you will be sharing the stories of the time you had to stay in your house and learn online with your own kids! I thought this would be a great opportunity to write our own version of history. You can add personal narratives of experiences you've had, you could read news articles and write informational pieces (make sure to cite your sources), and you could even write opinion pieces about certain things that are happening for example, parks being closed. Think of this as wonder journaling but with the topic of the pandemic!! I can't wait to see what you come up with! Write away!

Costco gets a semi-truck of it every day and they told me they sell out the instant the store opens. If COVID made people have diarrhea, I guess it would make more sense. We have about a week's worth left at our house.

I absolutley miss every single person in the class. When I first heard we were doing zoom I was so happy that I finally got to see my friends. I'm also doing a group chat on my e-mail with Kenna, Brayden and Carter and its a relief to find out everyone is doing ok and that I can e-mail them all the time and even have private zoom meetings. I also got a new app that I can call and text some of my neighborhood friends called Messenger Kids. When I see everyone I feel so thankful for what great friends and teachers I have.

I miss you kids and having a routine. (In fact, I really like teaching and this is not exactly my favorite kind of teaching.). But I wanted to add to my journal some things that are unexpectedly awesome:
1) Coffee all day! I can have coffee anytime I want, I just keep a pot going.
2) Star Wars Battlefront breaks. Ben and I take breaks from school work to defeat the evil Empire in 15 minute increments.
3) Can I be honest? No waiting to use the restroom -- usually I have to figure out when you guys will be with another teacher and wait!
4) Dog fuzzies. I know I pretend that I don't like dogs, but Luna is awesome. When I get stressed, dog fuzzies are really soothing.

We had to wait till thanksgiving day to cook the things we had brought to the feast to cook in the hosts oven!! We had it fixed a while later but then, agian, it broke. We bought a new stove but this time it was a gas stove. And about 1-3 months later it BROKE!!!! So now my family has been without a stove for almost a year now and I'm going completly insane over the fact that I havent had homemade cake for a year now!!!!! But thankfully we are finaly getting one around april 20-24!! What things dont go as planned for you?

My mom is on websites trying to find things for the house. When they arrive she waits about 2-4 days so the "Corona virus" germs can die off. We made them all out of fabric. My mom let us pick our fabric pattern. I picked a polka dot fabric because it was really cute. Every time I go somewhere I wear it. My mom has to wear a mask everyday when she goes to work, so when I wear a mask she reminds me that nurses and doctors have to wear one everyday when they go to work. I was watching television and there was a commercial showing pictures of how bad the masks are hurting the outer part of a nurses or doctors mouth.
