A part of my job is educate the patient, team work with other professionals to improve life quality, manage respiratory crisis when patient do exercices. My principal customer is COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), pulmonary fibrosis, hyperventilation, long covid, asthma. Different subject is teach: anatomy healthy lungs and diseased lung, exercices, nutrition, management of stress, trip with respiratory disease, oxygen, healthy sleep, etc.

I work in hospital and the ancient CLSC in joliette city.

I use English with English speaking people (patients, distributors, professionals, pharmaceutics)

Patient make crisis during exercice, I must manage with him the breath to he recovery the good rythm rapidly and without shame, it’s very important to patient keep trust in program and in me!

I am also a cegep teacher in respiratory therapist technique. I am the one who set up courses, the laboratory and welcomed the first students in 2024 October at L’Assomption cegep.

I'm working with the physiotherapist et the ergo at the department readaptation in a psychiatric hospital. I am sollicited when the patients need equipements like wheelchair , ergo adaptation , orthosis and many others things. I'm taking the measurement and the ajustment. Some peoples need that for their security when they move because their capacity are declined.Sometime it's temporary or not.

Rarely but sometimes we have anglophone patients. In my work reality, I need to go at all of the unity. So i met a lot of people in a day.

I need to ask questions to the patient and also need to explain what adjustment i make and why. In a psychiatric hospital , we have conversation about anything in different place. It's very unpredictable ;)

I use english especially when it comes to patients traveling. Because people in Alma speak French

Situtation 1: When I worked in the surgery department, I had a patient who only spoke English. The assessment and communication was really difficult, I downloaded a translation application because i couldn't communicate with him and my colleagues didn't speak English. Situation 2: I recently explained the pre-operative steps to a patient who only spoke English and Spanish. After two sessions of lessons, I found i was doing better than before.

My husband and I have 4 children 3 girls and 1 boy. And we have a dove!!
