Scientists believe it coincides with the lower part of the upper mantie. It is a plastic malleable layer with a tendency to flow as the lithosphere moves.<br><br>Mesosphere<br>&nbsp;Ine mesosphere is the lower mantle, it extended from a depth of 670 km to the "D" layer, which is solid, the mesosphere is not static, it moves very slowly: a few centimetres pear year Cold lithospheric plates from the subduction zones.<br><br>The D layer is one of the most dynamic layers of the Earth.
