This activity helps students isolate beginning sounds in words.</p><ul><li><p>For students with exceptionalities such as hearing challenges use visual aids or hand motions with the sounds.</p></li></ul></li><li><p><strong>Sound Blending</strong>: Say separate sounds such as /k/, /a/, /t/ and have students blend them together to form the word “cat.”</p><ul><li><p>For students with speech or language delays, provide visual and tactile support by having them use letter tiles or an interactive board to arrange the sounds.</p></li></ul></li></ul>]]></description>
