It was split between the two main powers in the world. Spain and Portugal.

The Columbia Exchange is and exchange between the new and old world. They exchanged plants, food, animals, and ideas. They also increased their knowledge in warfare. The path it took was divided into two parts. The path from Spain and Portugal took colonists, animals, diseases. The path from the new world to Spain/Portugal brought food and slaves. Some of the causes were power, gold, and God. These are only a few of the things that drove explorers to the new world. The effects were lots of death and diseases were brought to the new world killing many native americans.

Mercantilism means believing in the benefits of trading. At the time mercantilism was the only method of trade. The sole purpose was to gain wealth. Joint Stock Company means all participants must give a sum of money so they could each own a part of this land. Mercantilism helped the new world become what it is today. It helped the trade flow between countries and cities become a lot easier.

I think that there was a more positive effect that came out of the Exploration because trade routes were helping countries expand. Because of this, it brought Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas together.
The age of exploration had more positive than negative things. More countries were found and able to be used, new food and resources were found, and new religions were found. With all of these great things that happen to America it definitely had a more positive impact.
