12/7/18
SS/1
Digital Day Israel and Saudi Arabia

Israel and Saudi Arabia have very similar economies. They both are industrialized countries. Some of the characteristics that make them industrialized countries include their high standard of living and their passion for working in the technology and manufacturing industries. Another way they are similar is when both countries had a increase in unemployment rate. In Saudi Arabia this was because of the government giving handouts (such as money, food and clothing) which supports most of their citizens.

Although Israel and Saudi Arabia have similar economies, there are multiple things that set them apart. One of the things that set them apart is Israel facing poverty after World War 2 and Saudi Arabia being dependent on oil. Israel faced a huge increase in unemployment and became labeled as a third world country after World War 2. Saudi Arabia is more dependent on oil than Israel is, making it refuse any other offers to help its economy like solar panels.

The most important way Israel and Saudi Arabia are alike is because they are third world countries. This means they are both developing their customs. They bode had a big unemployment rate in the the two countries. They both filled the unemployment rate with construction jobs. This means they are both developing their customs. Both oppress the non-dominant groups living in their borders. They both are middle eastern countries. They also both have well you could say advanced their tec over the years.Israel oppresses Palestinians, building settlements on their land and surrounding their villages with apartheid walls and heavily-armed soldiers. Saudi Arabia has set up a political and judicial system that oppresses everyone who is not Sunni (like Shia and non-Muslims), as well as women and millions of migrant workers. Both nations use religion to make their laws also. Saudi Arabia is having a new city being built but is not used by the money from another nation it is used by a person is money who is in the nation and they are rebuilding .Israel is rebuilding there city with the money from Germany. This is Germany’s money to repay for the holocost.

While Israel depends on petroleum, raw materials, wheat, motor vehicles, and uncut diamonds, and production inputs, the country's reliance on energy imports.

Saudi Arabia's oil revenues ranked up to $913 billion, but over the last 3 decades, $70 million have been used on total solar investment and easy access to capital doesn't guarantee economic success. Israel, on the other hand, is currently a developed country and an OECD member, which has made their GPD increase by 3.8% in 2016.

Items such as having a stabilized/industrialized economy. Here are some other reasons why they are similar:

For example, both Saudi Arabia and Israel are known for having a higher standard of living. Not only that, but they are both known for having oil-based economies. This basically means the two countries oils are circled around the purchase of oil. Also, both are known for their Gross Domestic Products being more than a million dollars (shekels).

While the two have similarities, they also are very different. For example, Saudi Arabia is a monarchy while Israel is a so-called democracy.Another thing is the oil revenue money. Saudi Arabia made $913 billion while Israel's revenue is unknown. The way Saudi Arabia and Israel are comparable is that both countries have economies that are technologically advanced. For example, Saudi Arabia has spent the money made by oil, and used it to build industrialized buildings. For Israel, new markets have been opened, and industrialized buildings have been built in the areas of Rakish Ashkelon, The Negev, and the Galilee. It has allowed others to enjoy the high standards of living for both countries. The second way they are comparable is that both Saudi Arabia and Israel are allies with the United States.

2. The way Saudi Arabia and Israel contrast is that Israel creates and uses textiles, while Saudi Arabia creates and uses Solar Power. The second way is that Saudi Arabia's Poverty line is 12.7 percent, while Israel's poverty line is 21 percent with the highest poverty line for 2016. The third way that they contrast is that Saudi Arabia's GDP is 683.8 billion USD, while Israel's GDP is 350.9 billion USD. This shows that Israel doesn't do much of human capital and investment, which leads to a lower GDP.

With the hot climate that Saudi's desserts have plan to turn it into solar energy.

Differences that Israel and Saudi Arabia have is that Israel is a developed country with being the thirty-fourth largest economy in the world by GDP. Israel also has the highest standard of living in the Middle East and the largest life expectancy in the world, because of motivated and educated populace Israel's rapid economic developed. Saudi Arabia is a third world country. Even with them being a oil rich country and easy access to capital, it is hard to encourage the people of Saudi Arabia to join in active workforce. In order for Saudi Arabia to grow their GDP they plan to make a whole new city starting from scratch. This will be the first 100 billion dollar city. They also plan to use their dessert's hot climate to make solar energy, but despite the government's promises of industry expansion, today's production is still stuck on the basics

12/7/2018 SS Blk 5
Digital Day Israel & Saudi Arabia
Israel and Saudi Arabia are both constructing in companies and both are high technology which helps get a high GDP. Also over the decades the percentage and salary has change majorly. Both countries constructed industries to gain more profit. Both countries are focusing on technology so that they can gain more and more money. Both countries have economies there are many different types economies like Market, Command, and Mixed economies.

Israel is a third world country and with their strong trades out of the Middle East insulate Israel's technology advanced free market. Saudi Arabia is one of the top 20 economies depending on oil as the second largest proven petroleum in the world. In 2017 Saudi Arabia's GDP (Gross Domestic Product it represents the total dollar value of all goods and services produced over a specific time period) was 683.8 billion USD. In 2017 Israel's GDP was 350.9 billion USD. Saudi Arabia's GDP per capita (is a measures of a country's economic output for its number of people. It divides the country's gross domestic product by its total population) in 2017 was 20,760.91 USD. Israel's GDP per capita was 40,270.25 USD. In Saudi Arabia's GDP growth rate(measures the economic growth in relation to GDP from one period to another and adjusted for inflation. The economy's growth rate is normally expressed as a percentage which shows the rate of change in a country's GDP) in 2017 was -0.7% annual change. And in Israel their GDP growth rate in 2017 was 3.3% annual change.

Israel economy
After independence Israel faced a deep economic crisis as well as having to recover from the devastating effects of the 19948 Arab-Israeli war. In 1952 Israel and West Germany signed an agreement stipulating that West Germany was to pay Israel for the persecution of Jews during the Holocaust and compensate for Jewish during property stolen by the Nazis. The reparations became a decisive part of Israel's income comprising as high as eighty seven point five percent of Israel's income in 1956. Textiles were one of the largest industrial branches in Israel second only to the food staff industry. Textiles constituted about 12% of industrial exports becoming the second largest exports branch after polished diamonds. In 2002 the Israeli economy declined in one quarter about four percent. Israel is a developed country and an OECD member with the 34th largest economy in the world by nominal GDP with $339.980 billion as of 2017. Nominal GDP per capita in 2017 is $39.126 ranked 24th and PPP per capita is $36.379 ranked 34. GDP growth increase 3.85% in 2016. Population below poverty line is 18% in 2016. The country benefits from a highly skilled workforce and is among the most educated countries in the world with one of the highest percentages of its citizens holding a tertiary education degree the country has the highest standard of living in the Middle East. After picking up the 4% in 2016 growth is projected to be around 3.2% in 2017-18 inflation is projected to be firm up gradually the maintenance of expansionary monetary and fiscal policies and projected wage increase will continue to share up domestic demand.

Saudi Arabia economy
King Abdullah is trying to create a whole new business model by financing the construction of a whole city from scratch. King Abdullah and the economic city aims to profit by releasing companies and industries. Business professionals may one day populate these homes but for now construction workers building this new city represent most of the residents. In a all rich country where government hands out supports many citizens and is sometimes difficult to encourage some to the active work force. The salary of oil revenues is $913 billion but in the past 3 decades its just been $70 million for the total solar investment which means (potentially gives you access to low ongoing costs after initial investments, fuel for solar assets is free and unlimited and life span of solar panels is only 25+ years meaning the majority of investment costs are incurred upfront.

In Israel the economy is market so that means the government doesn't have full control.

SIMILARITIES
Both Israel and Saudi Arabia have a unsignificant culture there are many different cultures in Israel and Saudi Arabia. Israel and Saudi Arabia are a diverse nation or countries. Both Israel and Saudi Arabia had to recov from the Arab- Israelian war in 1948. Saudi Arabia and Israel also, having to recover from the devastating of the effects of the 1948 Arab-Israel war, it also had to absorb hundreds of thousands of Jewish refugees from Europe and the Arab world. It was hard because most of the israelian's/Arab's and they familys had to rebuild their homes and businesses. That takes time and that time and money that it took to rebuild could of been spent with other family and friends.

ISRAEL-SAUDI ARABIA DIFFERENCES
One difference that they have is in 1952 israel and west germany signed an agreement sying that west germany is to pay israel for the perscution of Jews during the holocaust and Saudi arabia did not. Also west Germany had to pay for the property that the nazis stole from israel. Saudi Arabia becaome a ultimately diverse country and israel did not israel is a normal diverse country. But in the late 3 years Saudi Arabia spent $70 billion dollar for solar investments and they also had to spend $913 billion on oil revenues. Israel is a diverse country that lets immagents enter and exit the country. I dont know if Saudi Arabia does but i think hey ont it didnt say ianything in the video and i search on the web and it didnt tell me either. As of 2019, Israel ranks in the top 20 nations in the world on the UN’s human development index. The population of Israel, as defined by the Israel central bureau of statistics, was estimated in 2017 to be 8,718,820 people. The population of Saudi Arabia, as defined by the Israel central bureau of statistics, was estimated in 2017 to be 32.94 million people.
