This question was answered by the other students that this journey will help us to realise the events that could lead to the extinction of an animal and what measures we must take in order to stop such events from happening in future. This made me realise how students link their learning to the real world. Earlier PBL was a separate part of our TERM 2 curriculum, this year we plan to embed it into our lesson in a seamless way. Through out this process I unknowingly kept classroom learning separate from PBL tasks (they were viewed and treated as a separate entity!!). Which I now know was not the right thing. The low achievers were not very interactive during the creation of model and during public presentations.
