<title>What is the rhyming Scheme in Stanza 2: It is a, a, b, c. Only the first two verses rhyme. The change of rythm maybe shows that their life is finished. What atmosphere does this create in the poem? It feels sad and nostalgic. Why do you think the last line does not rhyme and is so short? The last line The last line is short and doesn’t rhyme because it is a reminder of what they are now: part of a field. They have been reduced to nothing but soil.</title>
