It was developed by Marie Clay and we use the MSV cueing systems to help understand student's miscues.  

I know that you can do a running record using any book (it doesn't have to be a F&P) book.

In Kindergarten, a big part of their success in reading involves building their confidence. In small groups, they often do self-checks with their peers.
