I don't believe that behavior should play a part in grading and students should have the opportunity to retake a test when they failed.

I feel that I agree with a lot of what they were saying. But I like grading on participation, because its how I may check for student progress. Half the grade for my HW packets is if they bring it back, it's more of a responsibility thing for me.
