I double majored History and Latin American and Latino Studies when I was an undergrad at UCSC. And I got my masters in Library and Information Studies from UCLA.

I just gave birth 4 weeks ago. She is my first baby. I am so excited though I felt tired. I decided to give up my job that needs to work on site because I have to take care of my new baby. I will be taking time during this winter quarter to enjoy my hobbies including reading, hiking and cooking. As for my academic interest, I am fascinated by the field of observation astronomy. I earned a degree in Astronomy and I’m here at Foothill to learn some courses related to developing and managing software that can be useful to display the night sky virtually. Also, I started to enjoy participating in stargazing event since I was 9.  I like the climate in the Bay Area generally, which I think can be a strong benefit for me to feel delightful with the blue skies and some rains overall in a year.

So far I have not determined my research interest yet, however I hope that while taking this class and learning more and more on how the proper academic research should be conducted, I will be able to choose a specific topic that I really would be interested in working on. I major in Computer Science, however if writing some kind of a research I would definitely choose a research on historical topic, for example Muslims in American society: Discrimination against Muslims or Israeli oppression of Palestinians. 

I hope to spend an amazing quarter with a high benefit to my education.
