After winning the French & Indian War, Colonists began to move west into their newly claimed land. However, before they could settle, King George set the Proclamation Line, preventing colonists to move forward and also preventing conflicts with Native Americans. This angered colonists and gave them the idea that King George didn't want them to grow, only as a way to profit.
