Have you ever noticed teenagers' tendency of making risky decisions?Have you ever thought of it's reason? The issue has deeply interested one student,Kashfia Rahman, which led to her outstanding exploration. The young woman had no laboratory, mentors or expensive equipment: everything took place in the college library with the help of her co-students and little EEG,the idea really amazes me.A month of research gave a result:the young woman concluded there are two reasons of teens' reclessnes.Firstly, youngsters' brains are still maturing which leads to poor decisions and ,secondly,(the most important)the reason of daring actions lies in habituation: fear and shame, which restrict us, get numb when we repeatedly choose risky behavior.
I consider the research of Kashfia Rahman has a great importance for scince and is necessary for parents acquitantance: to understand the psychological processes of their growing children.

Collocaions:
habituation- привыкание
get numb -слабеть
matuaring-развитие
risky,daring behavior-рискованное поведение
reckless-безрассудный
