         <description><![CDATA[<div>Tell me a little more about yourself and/or what you would like to do in the future, or what your hobbies are. I don't mind too much what you write about, as we're going to focus on <em>how</em> you're writing it.<br><br>You can work in WordPad, or on a piece of lined paper. If you're working on line paper, it's important that you <strong>leave a blank line after every line you write</strong>.<br><br>This activity is called 'slow writing' because I want you to really take your time over every line.<br><br>You're only going to write one paragraph of six lines, but I want each line to follow the guide below.<br><br>Use the numbered lines in the 'Day in the life...' article to help you.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Line 1...</strong> must include a comma followed by either 'but' or 'even though'.<br><strong>Line 2... </strong>must begin with a time-based adverb, eg. 'currently', 'eventually', 'Someday',  etc.<br><strong>Line 3...</strong> must use a simile (similes usually include the words 'like' or 'as', eg. "as big as the moon," "as yellow as corn")<br><strong>Line 4...</strong> must use brackets and an exclamation mark to add a surprising fact or piece of information.<br><strong>Line 5...</strong> must use commas to add some additional information (a dependent clause) and be more than 30 words<br><strong>Line 6...</strong> Must be exactly 10 words long.<br><br>Remember, you can use the lines in the 'Day in the life...' document for examples.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Now get a partner to read through your paragraph and check that it meets the rules. Also ask them to check your spelling, punctuation and grammar.<br><br>Do they think it flows well? Can they suggest any improvements?<br><br>Once you have shared your paragraphs and any suggestions, look through it again carefully yourself.<br><br>If you're working on paper, use those blank lines you left before to go through your paragraph line-by-line and think about every single word choice. Try to make at least two changes to every single line that you feel will improve your writing. You don't have to follow the rules as you're going through this second time.</div>]]></description>
