2 Classroom consequences with middle schoolers is an issue when dealing with teenage students as they are now at an age where they realize the consequences of telling an adult no are not as severe as they once thought when they were younger. 
3 I am interested in exploring this topic now because it directly affects my daily teaching and skills as I am a middle school teacher.
4 Studying this now will provide me with the insight that I need while teaching middle schoolers and it directly ties in with my current practice of teaching.
5. My past relationship with this topic was different as I was teaching elementary school and did not apply to my daily teaching.
  1. I have briefly explored classroom rules with middle school students but it pertained to younger students as I was then teaching younger students.

Half day kindergarten affects parents and students which directly ties into the school district. Parents need to have  care for their student so they are able to work a full day. Having half day kindergarten means more money being spent by parents.   • This is a problem of practice I am interested in exploring because it directly affected me when I was teaching and had a son in kindergarten. Very soon I will have another child going into kindergarten and i will be required to find aftercare if it is not a full-day program. 
  • It is important to explore now as I am going to soon have another kindergartener and many other parents in the community are experiencing the same issue. 
  • Many parents make an argument that the transition period from preschool to kindergarten is hard on students going from a half-day program to a full fady program. Half day is a way for students to be exposed to academics and engage with their peers but still be able to have that period to transition into education over a year. 
  • I explored the topic briefly when my oldest son who is now 13 was in kindergarten. I was able to go to a board meeting and give my opinion along with many other parents, but I have not explored it much beyond that.
