         <description><![CDATA[<p>Strengths:</p><p>Differentiated teaching can be carried out.</p><p>Able to match teachers to classes.</p><p>Different sets of teaching materials can be used.&nbsp;</p><p>High moral for the HP classes.</p><p>Sense of pride to be in the top class (students and parents).</p><p>Smaller class size for LP is made possible. </p><p>Weaknesses:</p><p>LP classes and teachers are not motivated.</p><p>Lack of good role model in LP classes.</p><p>Teachers teaching LP classes tend to have low expectation from LP classes and students do not make improvement as there is no motivation. </p><p>More disciplinary issues in LP classes. </p><p>Form teachers of LP classes spend a  lot of time managing unconcerned / uninformed parents and students' personal challenges.</p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">Buddy system is less successful&amp; effective in LP class. </span></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Strengths</p><p>The snaking helps to integrate students well. Pupils of better academic ability can help the others who are weak. The banding of top 2 helps identify students who are stronger in some subjects. </p><p>Weakness </p><p>However, the banding is based only on EL &amp; Maths. MT &amp; Sci is not considered. So, it dismisses the pupils who could be better in MT to be in the top classes. It does not give an accurate picture of an all rounder. </p>]]></description>
