         <description><![CDATA[<div>Electors across all states that vote and certify the state’s vote for President and Vice President. Electors usually vote for the candidate that won the popular vote in their state. Some states have electors split their electoral vote to represent the popular vote in their state. The amount of electors for each state is decided by the percent of the total US population of a given state: The same number as the number of representatives in the House.<br>There is a total of 538 Electors. A majority of 270 is required to win the Presidency. If no candidate wins 270 Electoral votes, it is left to Congress to decide who won.<br><br>Biden: 306<br>Trump: 232<br>Total/Majority: 538/270<br><br>Biden won.<br><br>December 14th, 2020: Electoral College vote takes place in mid-December when the electors meet in their states.</div>]]></description>
