What isn't really clear from the AP is how they achieve distinction. How will the IAA capture that? Or is that for further consideration? Looks good though. Would it be beneficial to capture Page Numbers from the Dissertation Like the L6 CMDA / L5 ODM and L7 SLA?

The whole assessment requires a technical expert employer ( how do we know that they have the relevant experience?) - they are there not to grade but to clarify points

Structure & Format: Emphasises clear file naming, mapping to KSBs (Knowledge, Skills, Behaviours), and using annotated PDFs/visuals.

Key Content: Specifies inclusion of Minitab analysis, strategy deployment tools (Hoshin Kanri, SWOT, PESTLE), coaching/facilitation logs, communication strategies, ROI calculations, and cultural change projects.

Mandatory Training Session: Requires designing and delivering a 45-50 minute training to Level 5 peers, including a slide deck, lesson plan, recording/observation, handouts, and feedback forms.

Qualified at level 6 or above in an improvement discipline (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) and have recent (within last 6 years) experience working in improvement.

Would it be good for any IAA's that did SMDA - be more aligned to understanding the grading?

Two EPA Methods:

Professional Discussion: A 2-2.20 hour interview based on a portfolio
Dissertation & Presentation: A 6,000–8,000-word dissertation, followed by a 45–50 minute presentation and Q&A 35 - 40 mins

Must be 1 A4 page following A3 principles and be understood in 3 seconds!

The portfolio of evidence must also include evidence relating to the preparation and delivery of a training session which can have been delivered during the on-programme phase of the apprenticeship with Level 5 learning outcomes linked to one or two improvement topics-Will the L5 LO's be embedded somewhere within the GS for IAA reference.
