I like how the app humanises loops and this will probably engage them better as compared to a "traditional" loop machine. My takeaway is that it is always important for us to try new things even though it might not be "in our syllabus". I was wondering if it is possible for this to be used to create the backing track for students' instrumental playing? Or is that beyond the scope?

It's a very powerful tool. Because of its open-ness of usage, IBL can be harnessed to allow students to discover for themselves (with relevant resources provided for pri sch learners) . The layering experience is useful for students to produce their own sounds in real life, too. Thanks for sharing

Love this "Incredibox". Might not be necessary used for music lessons only. Thinking of using it for FTGP, Start It Right or End It Right to promote self-directed and collaborative learning. Planning to play with it during my leisure time this Sept holidays. Thank you for the interesting sharing.

Dialogic talk struck me and a good reminder to give learners time to communicate how texts are constructed, what the text meant for them through the multi-literacies approach. And more so for mother tongue languages, where learners may not have it as the main language.

Your sharing reminds me of how EL teachers heighten students' awareness of the multimodality of texts in STELLAR. However, sometimes we still depend on 'Linguistic' and 'Visual' rather than 'Spatial' or 'Aural'. Leveraging Bollywood movies and songs would be a great way to interest students in learning MTL. Thank you for bringing up the relationship between language and culture. I think it is so important that as we live in a multi-cultural society, students not only learn to speak the language, they also appreciate culture, starting from their own, and extending to other cultures.

Makes music exploration “tactile”, “hands-on” and therefore accessible!

I like the ideas about perhaps tasking students to develop a soundtracks. Perhaps to a story they’ve read, or a movie they’ve watched.

It would be cool if other kinds of sounds can be generated in another platform to enable the same kind of exercise with different instruments to create different audio products!

In PE, we do use concept based teaching in the area of games and sports, however we may not consciously used concept-based instructions in our PE lessons. Thanks Wan Jo for sharing. It's so worthwhile doing this. The time factor in Pri Sch science is so difficult ... In a weekly 2.5h, have to go lab, do content, assessment, homework... But it must be so rewarding to see your students grow in higher order thinking.

I like your talk moves as it is student centred and guides students on how to communicate with each other.

My Group's Capstone AR is on use of effective questioning in PE. Word-Phrase-Sentence, i think can also be used in a PE related context of questioning so as to engage the students in deepening their critical thinking through the process of WPS. Its same/same but different from questioning. Thanks Grace. So sad that Drama happens to fall through the cracks of the disciplines of PAM. I apply drama in my PE dance module. We use Tom and Jerry to learn some movements - stealthy, bounding, and stillness.

Thank you for rejuvenating my desire to input drama more and more in my lessons (FTGP for eg. )
