I highly suggest taking care of taxes at Uncle Sam and then immediately go to housing and other big expenses. One thing you don't want to do is struggle with money in the long run. If you cover your biggest expenses first you will most likely have enough to spend throughout the simulation. I personally did this and it really helped out in the long run. I took care of all of them but car insurance and gasoline. I was busy trying to take care of everything else and totally forgot to take care of gas and car insurance. A strategy I would highly suggest is after you buy something, take care of your expenses right after. The last thing you want to have happen is run out of money and not be able to progress. There is a area to get a second job but the money from that varies and may not be enough to get you through. I started out with a decent paying job and that helped with my expenses a lot. I did however end up getting a second job that I probably didn't need. One thing I noticed about this job is the money was nice but it went away fast. I went into reality rocks knowing somewhat how to write checks. The fact that I struggled a bit with writing checks made things move more slowly than they should've. It also doesn't feel good when someone has to correct you on how to write a check. Filling out a ledger is also very important which is something that I also struggled with. I had to constantly be corrected on how to fill out my ledger but by the end I was a ledger master. I say this because going into reality rocks I was very confused at first but I was able to get a grasp as it went on. Having two brains to make sense of things is very beneficial. Also by pairing up with someone you can split household expenses which will greatly benefit those who who don't make a ton of money.
