By being exemplary in embracing the concept of "Food is Medicine," I take charge in my health and inspire others to do the same in my profession. Making conscious choices to include nutrient-dense foods in my diet, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. Nutrition, I think, is more powerful than medicine.

Alan Watts: Authenticity (The Real You)

Alan Watts is someone that has provided inspirational meaning to my life for many years. He enables me to explore authenticity by challenging societal definitions of identity and encouraging people to connect with their true nature. By embracing authenticity, I can live a life that is true to myself, expressing my unique thoughts, feelings, and desires without fear of judgement. One of my favorite quotes in this video is, "You are what the whole universe is doing, in the same way a wave is something the whole ocean is doing." (Watts 0:56) To me this means that we are all a part of something bigger than ourselves. Finding out the real you is one of the most amazing discoveries one can make.

Socioeconomic Passion: Tap House

Starting a tap house like On Tap in Bend Oregon (where I'm from) has been a passion of mine for a long time. The environment that it creates has been an exciting and fulfilling endeavor for several reasons. First and foremost, I have a genuine passion for craft beer and the vibrant culture that surrounds it. It is an opportunity to create a welcoming and inclusive space where people can come together to appreciate and enjoy great beer. Tap houses often become social hubs, fostering connections and creating a sense of community. I believe that bringing people to gather over a shared appreciation for craft beer, in a family and pet friendly environment, can create conversations to flow and friendships to be forged.
