Chinese Chess

On 15 April, I played Chinese chess with my family members. I have learnt how to move each piece and score victories. In the process, there were some challenges and sacrifices of pieces, which brought my chance of victory down. However, I managed to overcome these losses and continue to aim for victory. Although I did not win, but I definitely had some fun and time spent with my family members.

Played a guitar

On 29 April, I played this guitar for my family members to hear. I learnt how to play different notes and how to move the fingers to the next note. In the process, I struggled to play the guitar as the notes were hard and the speed of the song was too fast for me. However, after a few minutes, I got the hang of the song, and managed to play the song without errors. During my performance in front of my family members, I was able to play it smoothly.

Making a car

On 13 May, I made a toy car. I learnt how to put the pieces together, to make this car. In the process, I had difficulties fitting in the pieces together, and got agitated. However, I learnt that agitation will not solve anything, and I decided to work on the car instead. Indeed, I managed to make this car, and I learnt a valuable lesson that day.

Making compost

On 27 May, I did some fertilizing to make compost. I have learnt how to search for Styrofoam in the soil, as well as sieve the soil using a garden sieve to get rid of stones, large clumps and debris in it. These soil will be planted with coffee beans to make coffee. (How interesting!) At first, I had difficulties when finding for unwanted substances in the soil, but with the help from my family members (whom I blanked out in the photo) I managed to finish this activity smoothly and I had fun in the process.
