Create an environment where students feel comfortable challenging what's being taught.<br><br>Teach students to explain why they feel the way they feel so they can self advocate, better understand culture, and better grasp the issues within our culture.<br><br>Be flexible to students needs.<br><br>Make changes based on new understandings. Sometimes something we enjoyed we later find has a darker past (Jingle Bells)<br><br>Accept that some of this will be uncomfortable.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>- Consistent reflection of practices<br><br>- Actively seek out multiple resources to give kids as much access to information as possible so they can become critical thinkers.<br><br>- If we want kids to be actively dismantling systems down the road, we as adults need to lead by example.<br><br>- Holding space to talk about current events about things that are currently happening or have happened in the past.&nbsp;<br><br>- Letting students get to the idea instead of giving them the idea, and giving them the resources and space to do that.&nbsp;<br><br>- Trusting our kids to be able to think for themselves.&nbsp;<br><br>- Looking at our practice carefully and finding out when it is about you vs. making it about the kids. </div>]]></description>
