Caracal
1. Caracals, being the strong jumpers that they are, surprisingly are normally kept in cages that limit their ability to jump. This can lead to their legs being weak and sometimes losing the ability to walk.
2. Being an endangered species, I was surprised to see that over 75% of the caracal population is in zoos. There is only one zoo in North America that has a caracal on exhibit.
3. Caracals are most known for their ability to jump up to 12 feet in the air to catch pheasants.

Giraffe
Did you know that a Giraffe's life span is twenty five years? Did you know that young giraffes (called calves) die of young age. But do you know why they die of young age? Well here's my theory.

A copenhagen zoo makes the decision to kill a young, healthy giraffe named Marius, before dissecting him publicly and feeding him to the lions. Another Danish zoo has announced they might do the same.by sheer coincidence the second giraffe's name is also Marius.

A panicked and terrified giraffe dies at Taiwanese zoo. Hsiao Chiu (a giraffe) was in the process of being loaded onto a truck when he reportedly had a panic attack. The zoo planned to transport him to a private zoo for mating purposes. Instead, he died of lung and heart failure before the truck left the facility.

Baby giraffe dies after a collision with a zoos enclosure's wall. Kipenzi was giraffe that died in captivity she was only a couple months old. Kipenzi began scampering around like she did every night she made a sharp turn, and ran into the perimeter edge of the habitat. she broke three vertebrae in her neck, and passed away immediately. her mother (Katie) visited Kipenzi before the veterinarians removed her.

In just one week three giraffes died at three different zoos is it a coincidence or not? the first one was named slim he was an eighteen month old giraffe and was dead when everyone showed up for work the next day at the Ellen Trout Zoo in Lufkin, Texas. After only four months at hill crest
Park Zoo in Clovis, New Mexico, a giraffe named Jay was found sick and lying down in his pen and was euthanized. At the Albuquerque BioPark, a three year old giraffe named Renna collapsed without warning and had to be euthanized.

I hope you have changed from capturing to freeing giraffes in this passage.
